Summit County vs. James Stahl Jr.

Brian Pierce is a 1991 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he received an undergraduate degree in Administration of Justice. Brian received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 1994. Brian was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November of 1994 at which time he entered into private practice. In 2001 Brian and his partners formed the law firm of Gorman, Malarcik, Pierce and Vuillemin.

Brian is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Akron Bar Association, and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Brian currently serves on the Criminal Law and Investigative Committee which reviews grievances filed with the Bar Association. Brian recently completed a three year term on the Akron Bar Association Board of Trustees. Brian's areas of practice include Criminal Defense, Juvenile Law, Domestic Relations and Personal Injury Law.

Brian practices in both State and Federal Court and was recently appointed to the Criminal Justice Panel in Federal District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Brian has handled numerous felonies including Aggravated Murder and is certified as Lead Trial Counsel in Death Penalty cases. Brian has won jury acquittals for clients facing charges ranging from Domestic Violence to Aggravated Vehicular Homicide. Brian has also argued Appellate cases before the Ninth District Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.
